Thomas Terrible Twos

THOMAS, I feel I yell that name often, he is demanding and what he wants better happen or else he will make sure we know that he is MAD....Today is Papa's Bday, we were going to pick Papa and Nana up then go to 10:30 mass. Steve is at work...I even had 1 extra hour from daylight savings but still I was running around with my head cut off trying to get us out the door and be happy!!! First the boys get up and they go downstairs to play, it was wonderful, I gathered their church clothes, even attempted to iron them. Then I headed downstairs to make breakfast, which was oats. While they are eating oats we found a wasp, I sucked it up with the Mini Dyson and the boys watched it try to excape, then we let it go outside. Some how after that, it went downhill. I went downstairs to check email and Ebay (I am selling items on Ebay) the boys were suppose to be playing but instead hanging on me. Then Thomas spoted candy on my desk, he asked in his own way, over and over to have the candy and I said no, over and over. Then we had Papa's gift ready to go and he wanted to open it which he did plus tore apart the paper while yelling in his own way he wanted the candy and if he could talk he would of said I wanted the damn candy now LADY!! Then the screaming started and throwing himself to the ground started, I walked over him and headed upstairs to get ready for church which by now time was ticking by quickily, there went my extra hour. Joseph and I started to go upstairs and Thomas was throwing his fit. Joseph then tried his best to get Thomas to calm down and even sat next to him and told him it was Papa's bday and the present was for Papa and he can not have candy in the morning, Thomas started to hit Joseph. We left him downstairs while we went upstairs to take a shower. While I am in the shower I am thinking I am such a bad parent to leave him downstairs by himself, what happens if he leaves the house (he has been known to do this), then I thought there is no way he is still crying...I was so wrong. When I finished in the shower, I heard him screaming even louder and he was still in the basement....I went downstairs to take him up to the shower, he was still screaming. I brought him in the kitchen and took this video.....Remember he was in the basement screaming, I now know my basement steps need to be cleaned more often.....I had to upload the video to YouTube since it was over 100MB....Please see the video at the bottom of this blog, it is called Thomas Terrible Twos...

What happened to the past 5 months...

Wow, the last time I posted a blog was in June and now it is November....What has happened during the past 5 months...The kids and I have been to Wisconsin for about a 1 week summer visit. We had fun feeding the chickens, blueberry picking, swimming, Dairy Bar, sleeping in the camper, pig farm, fireworks, camp fires and hanging out with family. We went to Chicago a number of times to visit family, plus we went to the beach on Lake Michigan! Also went to Minnesota with the Mackies, left Thomas at home with Steve, we went to a pig farm, fishing, Ikea store, mud fight, four whealing, I even rode on a motorcross bike, visiting family, plus listened to three boys argue most of the time.... I worked at a temp agency until the end of October. Thomas turned terrible two, Joseph writes his name and many other letters, Thomas still has no interested in speaking much, Steve is enjoying all of us being together for the wonderful dinners he makes us, he also LOVES when I wash his clothes and put them away (NOT), we all just went back up to Wisconsin for a week long visit, Steve and I plus the kids stayed in the Russell camper (in the cold) and loved it. Never thought I would say that. We have learned what is important and it is not about money and buying the Coach purse I really want. I finished my first quilt while in Wisconsin and I am hooked, also took up needle punch. I love sewing, always have but never had time...Now I have the time to quilt and there are so many projects I am working on and ideas of projects I want to work on. Hoping to make Xmas gifts. I will be starting a new temp job next week. The biggest change of all is I have developed a bond with my two boys that I have never had before. It is easier to take care of them, that could be they are older. At times they still annoy the hell out of me because all they want is to be with me, kiss me, hug me, hang on me...but deep down, I love it. NO MORE STRESS from working....Below are a few pics of the past 5 months...Can you believe Xmas is only 56 days away?

Joseph is playing hockey, Steve said it is only practice but he has a jersey and is number 76. He was so proud of his jersey...
